Mint & Chilli Sauce / Chutney

This is my go-to mint sauce for Kebabs, Falafel and Lamb Burgers 😋

If you like mint sauce, you'll need to try our Mint and Chilli Sauce / Chutney. Fresh Mint, Coriander, Chilli all spiced up and Blended into a Vibrant Sauce. Takes 2 minutes so no excuse not to try this out....

INGREDIENTS FOR THE BASE SAUCE:

  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

  • 3/4 fresh green chillis

  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander/cilantro

  • 1/2 " fresh ginger

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 20ml white vinegar or fresh lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup cold water or a generous splash

  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (optional)

METHOD:

bullet / blender

Put all the ingredients into the bullet cup and blend to a pulp!

It's really as simple as that. If your blender doesn't have a set time programmed, just keep an eye on the mix as it blends and go by eye! Should take a minute or two max.

MINT YOGHURT

Add 2 tea spoons of the mint sauce base to every 1/2 cup of PLAIN YOGHURT

MINT MAYO

Add 2 tea spoons of the mint sauce base to every 1/4 cup of MAYONNAISE

MINT HUMMUS

Add 2 tea spoons of the mint sauce base to every 1/4 cup of HUMMUS

GUILT FREE and DELICIOUS 😋

TRY GOING PLANT BASED WITH THE YOGHURT AND MAYONNAISE 😱

The Plant Based dairy replacements are pretty amazing these days and they actually add their own flavour into the chutney. Coconut Yoghurt especially is beautiful with the mint sauce. Give it a try.

TIP: freeze the chutney in an ice cube tray and pull one out whenever you fancy a little spice.

Little favour to ask of you...🙏
